Best Dance Crew: JabbaWockeeZ

They won the first season of the reality dance competition - America's Best Dance Crew

The JabbaWockeeZ is an all-male modern dance/hip hop crew from San Diego, California. The crew consists of 12 members, while 1 former member died because of complications from pneumonia and meningitis 3-years ago. Joe Larot named the crew JabbaWockeeZ which is inspired from Lewis Carroll poem "Jabberwocky" - a mythical dragon.

They formed the group in San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1980's where the first members are Gary "Gee One" Kendall and Randy "DJ Wish One" Bernal. Then new members Phil "Swaggerboy" Tayag, Kevin "KB" Brewer, and Joe "Emajoenation" Larot joined the crew. Their crew is known for wearing plain white masks and gloves in order to focus the audience on their dance moves as one rather than as an individual dancer. That trademark became crowd-pleasing around the globe and that what makes JabbaWockeeZ distinct to any other dance crew.

With their fantastic atune dance moves, they are wheww! pretty cool dance crew. I have seen their performace in ABDC Season 1 in youtube, so far I like the Week 2 performance where they dance Apologize by Timbaland ft. OneRepublic and the Week 5: Thriller Challenge, where they groove the song of  Michael Jackson - P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing). No wonder they are loved by everyone. The bond is amazing, you can see the unity of movements. You will love them not individually but as a GROUP and awe with their hip-hop-robot style moves. I was speechless when I saw the videos in Youtube. I screamed and felt like crying because they are so talented! They have the very best choreography and creative minds. For me JabbaWockeeZ is the best among the REST!

Trivia:
The Jabbawockeez auditioned seven-member contingent for the first season of America's Best Dance Crew, because of crew member limits imposed by the show. In 2007, JabbaWockeeZ appeared on the second season of America's Got Talent. Performing with nine members, the group was eliminated in the Las Vegas callbacks episode.
